Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. She is older than her fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sport career by becoming a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via the unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded an award of Silver in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008 and a Golden medal in 2011, in the IFMA Amateure 2016 Muay Tha World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey back in 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the K-1 World Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina last fought against Isa Tidblad Kskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off the professional phase of her MMA profession in the year 2002, with a win over Anara Baanova at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She took the title by TKO during the 2nd round. She was able to take home 2 subsequent fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. It gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko was forced to take a absence from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 with Anissa Diddaoui. Antonina was offered a UFC deal following her win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win with a unanimous decision. She lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. The bout earned Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko was a 1-2 winner during her subsequent three bouts, defeating Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee.
