Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde hair and an ebullient personality, explains how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home, using easy methods. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He was also a part of Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. While growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion of cooking and food at a young age. After earning an English and Communications degree in Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great experience. The Culinary Institute of America was an excellent location to learn. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell spent a year in Italy studying at Italy's Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, which has had an impact on her own perception of food. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. She also is an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate in which she raises awareness about the condition of children with diabetes. Burrell is often a guest to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship role. Anne has said throughout her professional career she's grateful to communicate with people what is most important for her.
